MTM53 is a bidirectional unbalanced mechanical seal with a single cylindrical spring and an elastomeric bellows, designed and manufactured by Microtem. The MTM53 seal is suitable for machinery in common service at low and medium pressures. Compliant with UNI EN 12756 (formerly DIN 24960) standards and available in various material combinations, MTM53 by Microtem can be equipped with stationary rings with a collar or O-rings.

Its simple configuration, composed of several parts, each fulfilling a specific function to ensure sealing between two rotating parts, offers the benefit of easy installation.
