MTM170

Operative limits

Product description

The MTM170 mechanical seal by Microtem is a single, unbalanced mechanical seal, independent of the direction of rotation, with a multi-spring configuration. The Microtem MTM170 is the mechanical seal with the smallest axial footprint, an important feature for specific applications. Thanks to the possibility of configuring the MTM170 with all stationary rings, this mechanical seal is interchangeable with all the most well-known mechanical seals on the market today. For this reason, it has been described by industry operators as the “universal mechanical seal“. Microtem’s MTM170 is manufactured according to UNI EN 12756 standards (formerly DIN 24960) and is available in all materials, including plastics like PEEK and DIFLON.

The Microtem MTM170 can be used in process, chemical, energy, and petroleum industry applications, for centrifugal and marine pumps, fuel oil and lubrication pumps, screw pumps, motor pumps, gear pumps, and even domestic garden and pool pumps. The MTM170 seal is also suitable for dishwasher pumps, lubricated compressors, and applications with low solid content, oils and glycols, and special rotating machinery.
