Limiti d'impiego

Product description

Microtem’s Watershield® Dynamic pneumatic barrier system is designed to allow its use even with a rotating shaft. When necessary, the barrier system efficiently manages leakage by injecting air at a pressure range of 0.6 to 1.2 bar, thus ensuring controlled operation while maintaining shaft rotation at minimal RPM. Opposed to other and more convetional pneumatic barrier systems, Microtem’s Watershield system allows shaft rotation, eliminating the need for an onboard brake on the propulsion line. This feature is crucial for withstanding induced motion between the propellers.

Moreover, the robust construction of the Watershield system makes it indispensable when paired with semi-split or full-split seals, enabling seal repairs to be conducted with the vessel afloat. Microtem’s Watershield Dynamic pneumatic barrier system may be used in different application in the naval sector, some of which are medium and large yachts and boats, patrol and work boats, tugs and passanger vessels, oil and water-lubricated lines, water jets as well as applications where there is limited space for maintenance.
