The MTM912 by Microtem propeller shaft seal was meticulously engineered to cater to the needs of medium to large boats, positioning itself as the epitome of value for money in its category worldwide. Thanks to its innovative design, it is the most compact full-split propeller shaft seal in the world.

The stationary flange of Microtem MTM912, foreseen for those who use flanged cases, is by standard in 316 Stainless Steel and can accommodate up to 6 radial holes (optional) in which it is possible to connect: an additional flushing, a temperature sensor, a vibration sensor (triaxial ), a pressure sensor or a dedicated vent line. The size of the flange, the number, the pitch center distance and the size of anchor screws of Microtem’s MTM912 propeller shaft seal can be customized according to need. The stationary ring can be supplied in Silicon Carbide (S1) or in Tungsten Carbide (T1) and is expected to be inserted in a 316 stainless steel case.

The rotating ring of MTM912 is constrained to the propulsion axis with a clutch that drags the rotating case provided in 316 stainless steel with insert in Graphite Resin (G2), Graphite Antimony (G3), Silicon Carbide (S1) or Tungsten Carbide (T1). Thanks to the full-split configuration, maintenance can be conducted directly in the water and/or with the propulsion shaft in position, resulting in significant time and cost savings. The inclusion of the Watershield® dynamic pneumatic barrier makes the MTM912 one of the most technologically-advanced propeller shaft seal in the global market. Additionally, the integrated preload system ensures straightforward installation without the need for specialized expertise.
