With its innovative design, MTM911 stands as the world’s most compact shaft seal with split configuration faces, setting new standards for efficiency and performance. The stationary flange of the propeller shaft seal MTM911 is tailored for users employing flanged stern tubes, manufactured as standard in robust 316 stainless steel. MTM911 is engineered by Microtem to support up to 6 optional radial holes, offering seamless integration for additional features such as supplementary flushing, precise temperature sensing, comprehensive triaxial vibration monitoring, accurate pressure sensing, or the implementation of a dedicated vent line.

The size of the flange, the number, the center distance and the size of the set screws on MTM911 can be customized according to need. Also, the stationary ring of this seal can be supplied in Silicon Carbide (S1) or in Tungsten Carbide (T1) and is expected to be inserted in a 316 stainless steel case. The rotating ring is connected to the propulsion shaft with a clamp that drive radially the rotating case provided in 316 stainless steel with insert in Graphite Resin (G2), Graphite Antimony (G3), Silicon Carbide (S1) or Tungsten Carbide (T1).

Thanks to SpliTEM® technology of MTM911 shaft seal, the sliding rings (stationary and rotating), made in two halves, allow maintenance to be carried out directly in the water and/or with the propeller shaft in position, with a significant cost saving. The dynamic pneumatic barrier ring Watershield®, makes the MTM911 the most technologically advanced product in the propeller shaft seals market. The integrated preload system of the MTM911 ensures effortless installation, eliminating the need for specialized of techincal expertise. Its user-friendly design simplifies the installation process, making it accessible to users with varying levels of experience without compromising on performance or reliability.
