The MTM905 propeller seal features the world’s most compact split shaft seal design with an integrated safety barrier, ensuring optimal space utilization while prioritizing safety. The stationary case of MTM905 accommodates up to 6 radial holes (optional) for additional functionalities such as flushing, temperature sensing, vibration monitoring (triaxial), pressure sensing, or vent line integration, providing versatility to meet specific requirements.The stationary ring can be supplied in Silicon Carbide (S1) or in Tungsten Carbide (T1) and is expected to be inserted in a 316 stainless steel case.

Moreover, the stationary ring is available in Silicon Carbide (S1) or Tungsten Carbide (T1), inserted in a 316 stainless steel case, ensuring durability and reliability in diverse operating conditions. MTM905‘s  rotating ring is connected to the propulsion shaft with a clamp that drive radially the rotating case provided in 316 stainless steel with insert in Graphite Resin (G2), Graphite Antimony (G3), Silicon Carbide (S1) or Tungsten Carbide (T1). Thanks to SpliTEM® technology used by the MTM905 propeller shaft seal, the sliding rings (stationary and rotating), made in two halves, allow maintenance to be carried out directly in the water and/or with the propulsion shaft in position, with a significant cost saving.
